# Pricing (/en/docs/developers/account/pricing)



Praxis pricing has one rule: each model is benchmarked to the vendor's published list price, and the Praxis price is below it. Per-model prices are in the [model catalog](/en/docs/developers/model/catalog), in US dollars per million tokens, before tax.

## How prices are set [#how-prices-are-set]

* The benchmark is the price on the vendor's official pricing page; Praxis records the source and date.
* The Praxis price is the same for every customer and below the vendor's list price; the discount is the same for input, output, cache-write and cache-read tokens.
* When a vendor changes its price, the Praxis price follows; Praxis gives 30 days' notice before changing its own price.

## How you pay [#how-you-pay]

* Prepaid credit, deducted by actual usage; you pay for what you use. Subscriptions are subscriptions to usage, not licences.
* Unused credit is refundable.
* Usage and balance are on the console's [Usage](/en/docs/developers/account/usage) and [Billing](/en/docs/developers/account/billing) pages.

## Buying through a partner [#buying-through-a-partner]

Praxis may have a revenue-share arrangement with the partner who introduced you. It does not affect your price: buying through a partner never costs more than buying directly. The partner program's rules are under [Partners](/en/docs/partners).
