Connect Praxis to [FastGPT](https://fastgpt.in)—an open-source platform focused on knowledge-base QA (RAG). Deploy with Docker Compose, add an OpenAI-compatible channel pointing to Praxis.

* Configure Praxis as a model channel in FastGPT and use it in chat
* Done when: you get a reply from a Praxis model
* Protocol: OpenAI-compatible (`/openai/v1`)

## Prerequisites [#prerequisites]

* **Docker and Docker Compose installed**.
* **A Praxis API key**. Create one at [Console → API Keys](https://console.deepraxis.ai/keys). See [Quickstart](/en/docs/developers/model/quickstart).

## Install [#install]

Full steps at [FastGPT deployment docs](https://doc.fastgpt.in/docs/installation/). Core: `docker compose up -d`, visit `http://localhost:3000`.

## Configure [#configure]

**Step 1**: Avatar (bottom left) → "Account" → "Model Config".

**Step 2**: Click "Add Channel", select "OpenAI" type:

| API Base     | `https://api.deepraxis.ai/openai/v1` |

| Model        | `deepseek-flash`                     |

Click "Save". Expected: channel saves and test passes.

## Verify [#verify]

Select `deepseek-flash` and send "Hello". Expected: a reply means you're connected.

## FAQ [#faq]

| Symptom                     | Cause                | Fix                      |
| --------------------------- | -------------------- | ------------------------ |
| `localhost:3000` won't open | Container starting   | `docker compose logs -f` |
| Test fails                  | Missing `/openai/v1` | Full URL required        |
| 401                         | Key incomplete       | Copy again               |
